KEBA, market pioneer in Romania
KEBA is the first company in the Romanian market to introduce ATMs with closed money cycles (cash recycling technology). This technology enables combined cash deposits and withdrawals: deposited bills are checked for authenticity and suitability for use in circulation and then issued during the next withdrawal. This creates a closed money cycle. The advantages lie in the high availability of ATMs, as they practically refill themselves with the deposits and the periods between necessary fillings get longer for the financial institution, which lowers costs. With 30% of the market share, KEBA leads the Romanian market in cash-recycling ATMs.
A significant milestone of the KEBA subsidiary in the last 10 years was also the support of an important Romanian banking institute, which helped implement a 100% register- and cash-free branch. All customer transactions are handled via a self-service banking system - an initiative which is new in the Romanian banking market.
