Victory in the special category "Apprentice reels: training up close"

KEBA wins "Fit for Future" state prize

Great success for KEBA: We were honoured with the ‘Fit for Future’ State Prize 2024 in the special category ‘Apprentice Reels: Education up close’! The prize, awarded by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Economic Affairs (BMAW) and the Austrian Institute for Business Education Research (ibw), underlines our commitment to innovative and practical apprenticeship training.

Creativity and team spirit resulted in success

Our award-winning video ‘Application Development Coding - What's really behind this apprenticeship?’ shows in a humorous and informative way just how varied and exciting the still very young apprenticeship in application development coding is. It breaks with the common clichés and focuses on teamwork at KEBA.

The video was the result of an interdisciplinary collaboration between our application development coding apprentices, their apprenticeship mentors and an expert from our employer branding department. Together, they developed a creative storyboard that presents the profession in a lively and modern way. The team also put a lot of commitment and acting talent into the film to bring the idea to life.

Jury statement

‘A creative video that presents the profession of application development coding in a lively and vivid way. The video, created by and with apprentices, breaks with clichés by showing that at KEBA, innovative solutions are not worked on alone in the ‘dark room’, but in a team. The mixture of humorous elements and the depiction of modern technologies makes the video both informative and entertaining. With a clear message, cool music and a likeable story, it shows how exciting and varied the apprenticeship in application development can be.’
