Holistic approach
Our holistic approach to sustainability is reflected in every step of our production process. Development and manufacturing take place in Linz, Austria, ensuring short supply routes and the highest quality standards.
100% renewable energy: Our production runs exclusively on electricity from renewable energy sources.
Low CO₂ footprint: By prioritizing European components, we minimize emissions and transport distances. Since 2022, our entire wallbox portfolio has been designed to have a lower CO₂ footprint.
Refurbishment program: Through our refurbishment program, we extend the lifespan of our products by refurbishing returned devices and reintegrating them into the market.
KeContact P40: Taking sustainability further
With the introduction of the KeContact P40, we have implemented numerous measures to further reduce environmental impact.
A particular focus is on the packaging of our KeContact P40 wallbox and its associated pedestal. Through an innovative packaging design, we have reduced the volume by 40%, saving materials and optimizing transport. The packaging is nearly plastic-free and consists of approximately 87% recyclable materials, further lowering the CO₂ footprint.
Transport efficiency has been significantly improved through optimized pallet capacity. Thanks to the space-saving packaging of the pedestal, the number of units per pallet has increased from 24 to 36. This substantially reduces emissions during shipping and makes the logistics process more sustainable.
Beyond these packaging optimizations, the P40 features intelligent functions such as standby and sleep modes, PV-optimized charging, and phase switching to maximize energy efficiency. Its modular design allows for easy repair and replacement of components such as charging cables. This extends the lifespan of the devices and reduces electronic waste.
Our contribution to CO₂ neutrality
Despite all optimizations, some emissions cannot be completely avoided. That’s why we collaborate with ClimatePartner and invest in certified climate protection projects. This allows us to actively contribute to CO₂ compensation while following the latest standards for CO₂ calculation and reduction. Our goal is to further advance sustainable e-mobility and create a more environmentally friendly future.
