Do you have your own PV system and an electric car or plug-in hybrid? Then all you need is the right charging station to use the surplus electricity for your electric car journeys. Because it couldn't be cheaper or better for the climate!
But first: What does PV surplus mean? This is when your PV system produces more electricity than your home and all its consumers currently need. This surplus production is fed into the grid. However, the feed-in tariff is usually significantly lower than the price you pay for grid electricity. It therefore makes sense to keep the PV surplus as low as possible. The best way to do this is with dynamic PV surplus charging. This requires an electric vehicle - and the right wallbox.
The KeContact P40 wallboxes have been designed to maximise the use of excess PV power: Via app the wallbox can be easily set to only charge with PV power. This is perfect, for example, if your electric car is parked at home for the day. Because if the charging time doesn't matter, a cloud may pass by or the surplus may be smaller because you are cooking and the washing machine is running. Thanks to phase switching, the KeContact P40 ensures that even minimal surpluses are used for charging - and that you drive 100% with your own electricity.
Of course, the KeContact P40 can also switch when time is of the essence: You want to charge with full wallbox power, but there is not enough power coming from the roof? Then the charging station makes up the difference with mains power.

Variant flat meter

- Charged kWh are billed directly via the flat's electricity meter
- Installation of a calibrated wallbox is possible, but not mandatory
