Weser-Elbe Sparkasse has long relied on state-of-the-art technology in self-service banking. With the installation of 76 KePlus D10s, the savings bank now also offers its customers a wide range of digital self-service solutions around the clock. The 1,000th anniversary KePlus D10 cashless self-service terminal produced at the KEBA headquarters in Linz (A) is now available in Bremerhaven at the branch near the main train station.

Trusting cooperation over many years

This event not only marks an important milestone for KEBA, but also underlines the strong partnership with Weser-Elbe Sparkasse, which has been relying on self-service products from the Austrian automation company KEBA for 15 years. With the intention of offering its customers easy-to-use and barrier-free self-service solutions, the savings bank uses more than 45 KEBA cash recycling systems for efficient cash management in addition to the KePlus D10 terminals.

Technological innovation for greater customer proximity

The KePlus D10 focuses on all cashless services and can be used in a variety of ways. It has a DIN A4 multi-format camera scanner, which enables the scanning and printing of SEPA documents as well as the capture of barcodes and QR codes. In addition to bank transfers and bank statement printing, new functions such as a digital mailbox, e-Safe and much more can also be implemented.

All operating elements are arranged barrier-free. The intuitive interface offers modern, simple operation for all user groups. While state-of-the-art security standards ensure the protection of sensitive data, the terminal is energy-efficient in operation and relies on durable components. "The KePlus D10 is more than just a product - as a complete solution in the cashless sector, it creates real added value for banks and savings banks and their customers, both today and in the future," explains Niklas Bibo, Sales Manager at KEBA in Germany. With the latter, Bibo is referring to the all-round function of the terminal, which enables numerous future applications.

Celebrating anniversaries together

The 1,000th self-service terminal produced by KEBA was personally handed over to Weser-Elbe Sparkasse in a festive ceremony in Bremerhaven. Bibo congratulated the employees there with a cake. Christian Hoffmann, Organization / IT in the self-service technology division of Weser-Elbe Sparkasse, is delighted with the anniversary terminal: "The modern technology and simple design on the one hand, and the multifunctionality and ease of use on the other, convinced us. Accessibility is very important to us - all customers should be able to use our self-service devices independently.” He continues: "KEBA is a long-standing, respected manufacturer that continues to impress with its products and integrity. We are delighted that the anniversary terminal has been installed at our branch near the main train station." Bank customers particularly appreciate the A4 scanner and fast print function, as well as the standing order creation function on the KePlus D10 terminals already in use at other Sparkasse branches. The popular wide range of online services on the device are also gladly used.

Niklas Bibo at the handover of the 1,000th self-service system: "We are delighted to be celebrating this milestone anniversary together with Weser-Elbe Sparkasse. Our cooperation has always been characterized by mutual appreciation and trust. Innovative branch design from Sparkasse meets modern, multifunctional self-service terminals from KEBA - a real match".

Innovation with vision

Long established in the banking world, public administration is now also relying on the KePlus D10. The citizen terminal, also known as the "Amt-o-mat" in Germany, enables administrative matters to be dealt with independently outside of the normal opening hours. "This system perfectly supports citizens who do not use or do not like to use digital online services to deal with their concerns independently outside administration opening hours, e.g. in the foyer. This relieves administrations of recurring standard tasks," explains Frank Rose, Managing Director of KEBA GmbH Automation in Germany. Forms can be easily submitted, documents printed and handed out. Even the exchange of passports is already possible. "The secure handover of documents, regardless of opening hours, is a real step forward," says Rose happily.

With the delivery of the 1,000th self-service terminal for digital services, KEBA proves how innovative strength and quality awareness leads to sustainable success. The focus on customer needs in development and the use of new technologies will also lead to anniversaries in the future, that is certain.
