"Decision: ATM or cash recycler? Cash recycler wins"

Interview with Frank Rose in IT-Finanzmagazin

The banking world is facing changing challenges - branches are being closed, self-service systems often remain in place. In an interview with IT-Finanzmagazin, Frank Rose, Vice President Banking Automation, explains what impact he sees for the future of banking and how the use of artificial intelligence can help with these changing conditions.

Here are the key take-aways:

  • The multifunctionality of cash recyclers makes them particularly important in the branch network. In addition to supplying cash, the machines can also dispose of it. When deciding between an ATM and a cash recycler, the trend is therefore clearly towards the cash recycler, says Frank Rose.

  • Artificial intelligence does not stop at banking. We have been working with big data analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning for many years. Our cash recyclers use AI to detect errors before they occur. This increases availability and reduces operating costs.

  • It will soon be impossible to imagine our branches without AI - namely in the form of the AI assistance system KeBob. KeBob can detect dangerous situations in real time and, if necessary, activate safety equipment or address people in the foyer.
