Advising customers and learning from them
Electromobility has noticeably picked up speed and more and more private customers are also considering the purchase of an e-car. For many, this raises the question of where and how to charge optimally and what is needed to do so. „In discussions with our customers, we recognized that it would make sense to offer additional consulting services on the subject of charging and therefore decided to create such a service in Linz with our eMobility Store. We also benefit from the direct exchange with our end customers, learning about specific requirements and can incorporate this knowledge into the ongoing development of our product portfolio“, so Christoph Knogler, CEO KEBA Energy Automation, the KEBA business area with a focus on electromobility.
Answers from experts on all questions of e-mobility
At the KEBA eMobility Store, everyone can actively immerse themselves in the topic of charging a hybrid or electric vehicle and have their questions answered by e-mobility experts: Which charging station do I need? Who will install the wallbox? How can I 'refuel' my own solar power? Or: How do I actually refuel on the road?
Completely sustainable: new and refurbished wallboxes
Of course, selected models of charging stations and corresponding accessories can also be purchased directly in the store. KEBA is the first manufacturer to rely exclusively on climate-neutral wallboxes. In addition to brand-new wallboxes, the eMobility Store also offers refurbished ones. These are updated by KEBA specialists and undergo the same test processes as new devices.
"With refurbished wallboxes, we are making an important contribution in terms of the circular economy. Our customers benefit from the quality standard - Made in Austria - and can make a contribution to the conscious use of resources and thus to sustainability and climate protection by opting for a refurbished charging station," explains Christoph Knogler.
Only at the eMobility Store in Linz: wallbox customization
A special feature of the Linz store: Thanks to a special printer, customers can have their wallbox customized on the go: In just a few minutes, a company logo, the family name, a vacation photo, or a practical note about charging is printed being printed.
In addition to consulting and sales, the KEBA eMobility Store will also be used for training and information events in the future. The e-mobility experts from KEBA and LINZ AG will cover various key topics such as 'Charging in multi-party residential buildings', 'E-mobility in hotels and restaurants' or 'Essential information for car salesmen'.
KEBA and LINZ AG - an innovation partnership
KEBA and LINZ AG can look back on a series of successful projects in the area of charging infrastructure. In addition to the Linz location, both companies are united by their innovative strength and active commitment to the expansion of environmentally friendly e-mobility. Most recently, the research project UrCharge under the leadership of the Vienna University of Technology, which provided valuable insights into the suitability of e-mobility for everyday use in urban areas, attracted national interest. "I am very pleased that the long-standing partnership between LINZ AG and KEBA is now being continued with the joint eMobility Store. Like KEBA, LINZ AG is also one of the pioneers of e-mobility and plays a pioneering role in the topic of charging infrastructure," says General Manager Linz AG Erich Haider. "The new offer comes at exactly the right time, because the need for top advice is growing to the extent of the interest in e-mobility."
Electric mobility as a future-oriented form of mobility
More than 12 years ago, when electromobility was still in its infancy, KEBA began developing charging stations. Gerhard Luftensteiner, CEO of KEBA Group AG, was already convinced of electric mobility as a future-oriented form of mobility back then and is very pleased about today's opening of the KEBA eMobility Store: "There is still a need for some education and advice on the topic of charging electric cars. In connection with our location in Linz and the Upper Austrian economic area, we have therefore decided to open a local eMobility Store right here in Linz-Urfahr."
