14 June: Stefan Richter on direct payment solutions
Stefan Richter, Director Portfolio Management at KEBA Energy Automation, will start the discussion. He addresses a problem that many e-car drivers know only too well and whose solution is of burning interest to all charge point operators: You want to charge at a public wallbox in a multi-storey car park, underground car park or at a supermarket, but you need a special charging card to do so or you first have to laboriously access a payment website on your smartphone and enter your credit card data there in order to let the charging current flow. This puts many people off. It would be better to pay directly at the charging station using common cashless means of payment such as a bank or credit card. We at KEBA have developed a solution that makes this possible and also provides digital receipts and works contactless. Stefan Richter will present it on 14 June at 11:10 am.
16 June: Gerhard Wimmer becomes an eMobility Mythbuster and clears up fake news around eMobility
On Friday, 16 June at 2 p.m., our eMobility expert Gerhard Wimmer will take on the role of Mythbuster and tackle the big myths surrounding electric mobility:
- "If we all want to drive electrically, the grid won't cooperate!" This is about load management.
- "E-cars are not that efficient!" Gerhard puts hard numbers on the table.
- "Bidirectional charging is not possible!" This part is dedicated to the large area around vehicle-to-grid, but also PV systems in island and parallel operation.
- In addition, the topic of wallbox or mobile charging solution is addressed. Because "A mobile wallbox is enough!" - that is definitely not true.
