Record values for KePol parcel volumes

Last December, on just one day, more than half a million parcels were handed over worldwide using KePol lockers. This is a new record and roughly double the peak value from the previous year. In general, similarly high values were recorded on most days before Christmas 2020.

The statistics from January also show that the number of parcels handed over daily using KePol stations stays at around 1.5 times the previous year's figure. These impressive figures prove the continuing e-commerce boom and the unbroken trend towards contactless handovers with KePol parcel lockers.

KEBA supports GLS Group’s Southern Europe expansion with new parcel lockers

The successful partnership between KEBA and GLS Group is entering the next phase. As part of GLS’ Europe-wide network expansion, the rollout of parcel lockers in Italy, Spain and Portugal is now underway. This builds on the strong relationship and existing footprint GLS has with KEBA in Eastern Europe, as the company now expands further into Southern Europe. KEBA will play a key role in supporting GLS’ growth ambitions, helping to accelerate the deployment and accessibility of parcel lockers across these markets.

The Faroe Islands, with a population of just under 56,000, are characterized by their 18 islands with numerous mountains and valleys. The execution of the Last Mile - the route of the parcel to the end customer - therefore poses different challenges in this region than in Austria, for example.
