Do you value the greatest possible flexibility when setting up your parcel stations?

The planning of the new KEBA site in Leonding/Pasching (AT) is progressing rapidly. The winning project by the Viennese office Franz&Sue was selected from ten submissions.

In 2001, KEBA installed the very first parcel locker. At that time, the journey was to neighboring Germany. In the meantime, thousands of KEBA parcel lockers have left the birthplace/production site in Linz and have also traveled far beyond the national border and Europe. Now, more than 20 years later, KEBA is pleased to announce the realization of a long-planned heartfelt project: a KePol parcel locker from KEBA in the KEBA area. Together with the Austrian Post, an outdoor location was chosen that is publicly accessible for all people at the KEBA Group AG site, in Linz / Upper Austria.

The Upper Austrian automation specialist KEBA continues to grow. In the last year alone, the internationally active company has grown by 225 employees, the majority of them in Austria. KEBA has thus reached the 2.000-employee mark.

In December 2021, KEBA acquired the Stuttgart / Germany-based software company drag and bot. The start-up develops an innovative operating system for robots. As a 100% subsidiary, drag and bot GmbH is part of KEBA Industrial Automation GmbH, one of the three business areas of KEBA Group AG. With this new acquisition, KEBA strengthens its position in industrial automation and strategically expands its product portfolio with flexible automation software.

The international Best Managed Companies programme, which is already established in more than 30 countries and awards outstandingly managed companies, was carried out in Austria for the first time this year. KEBA is one of the first Austrian award winners.

Smartmile and KEBA announced a new partnership, installing their first outdoor parcel machines in Finland. The first collaborative machine was installed outdoors on 22 July 2021 in Finland followed by the second outdoor location on week 32 in Tampere. They intend to install Smartmile Enabled KEBA machines across Europe together as part oftheir long-term plan in the coming year.

Booming e-commerce and growing parcel volumes bring new challenges to postal organizations and logisticians. The smart KePol parcel lockers from KEBA help to solve these problems - they increase both efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Last December, on just one day, more than half a million parcels were handed over worldwide using KePol lockers. This is a new record and roughly double the peak value from the previous year. In general, similarly high values were recorded on most days before Christmas 2020.

Iceland is known for having both the lowest population density and one of the highest living standards worldwide. With installing a KePol parcel locker network by Icelandic Pósturinn, the living standard now becomes even higher. Decisive factors for Pósturinn were the low TCO and the outstanding reliability of the rugged KePol FS-09 lockers to withstand the harsh environmental conditions.
